The ISD Parent Teacher Association serves to support the education of our children and the school community through educational enrichment events, cultural partnerships, community building initiatives, and funding of educational purchases for the school. The PTA is made up of parents like you, as well as teachers and school staff who support our school by giving donations, volunteering their time, and using their voice to raise the level of our children's educational experience and the strength of our community.


The PTA can offer financial support and flexibility outside of the school’s budget. It can enhance our faculty’s creativity and ability to inspire our children. The PTA spends approximately $300 per student every year in programs that enrich their education.


In addition to family events, our PTA plans and funds field trips, classroom enrichment programs, assemblies, and author visits - in order to provide our children with the best educational experience possible and enhance their learning. With the funds that we raise through this drive, the ISD PTA pays for the majority these initiatives and is committed to ensuring that no field trip fees are passed down to the parents - and that all field trip expenses that are not covered by Greenwich Public Schools budget are covered by the PTA budget.

 

While there are other fundraising events that will take place throughout the school year, the Membership Drive is the most important fundraising event that we do all year and accounts for 50% of our fundraising budget. Your support is crucial for the success of our programs. We cannot put on any of these programs without your help.

 

To give you a sense of what we are able to fund with your donation during this Membership Drive, here is a small snapshot of the breadth of programming that offered in 2023-2024.

 

 

Becoming a PTA member lets you:

  • access the ISD Online Family Directory
  • have a vote and a voice in your PTA
  • get exclusive discounts to Greenwich Color Challenge and Parent Social
  • contribute to the PTA's funds that go directly back to ISD

Whether you can contribute $30 or $300, your support is important and appreciated. Please consider donating more to support those families who are not able to do so. We hope that you will join our PTA today and help us to reach our goal of 100% family and staff participation in our PTA Membership Drive!
