Annual Costume & SpiritWear Exchange (10/10-10/16) Our annual costume and ISD SpiritWear exchange is back just in time for Halloween! Swap out your gently-used/outgrown (and laundered) costumes/SpiritWear/accessories and pick up fresh, "new" outfits for your children! Starting on Tuesday, October 10th through Monday, October 16th, there will be a clothing rack of costumes and volunteers at the traffic circle during drop-off and pick-up - roughly from 8:30 - 9:00am and 2:45 - 3:30pm on each of those days. We need your help to run this swap! Please choose a time that works and volunteer below to help us run this exchange. Please bring your outfits directly to the volunteers helming the exchange rack during the specified times and not to the front desk of the school. |

PTA-at-Work: Hip Hop Fundamentals Assembly Last week, Hip Hop Fundamentals, an award-winning team of diverse professional Breakers visited our school and held two interactive and educational assemblies for all the grade levels. They empowered and inspired the children and teachers/staff alike with their agility, flexibility and signature moves tied into lessons about culture, historical roots, and youth involvement. Hip Hop is all about expression - and even if the dance moves are the same, the way an individual expresses them is very different. Thanks to our amazing Enrichment Team for bringing our children such an incredible opportunity that combined education and audience participation in such a fun manner. A very special thanks also goes to our Teachers & Staff for being such good sports and impressing all the children with some fierce dance moves - you stole the show! |
PTA-at-Work: Fall Happy Hours Warm weather, good company, and a couple of fun settings! New parents and old friends from ISD were able to relax over a drink at Lugano's and the Old Greenwich Social Club last week and enjoy some grown-up time. Thank you to our Past President and PTA team for organizing these fun gatherings and giving us an opportunity to meet and mingle on one of the most gorgeous Fall weather weeks! |
